In the end

You know that client I felt all warm and fuzzy about helping? She never called back for the shelter list. Everytime I try to call her, the line is busy.

I think this more accurately describes how a social worker feels.

    it’s probably a good thing — means that she found a place to stay that’s not a shelter…

    I shared the story with my supervision group and they said the same. That she either found a place to stay or she would call back when she was ready.
